Duelists: Weapon Preference

Original Message: Meridian, Raven and I have been have a debate over Duelists weapons and the styles mentioned in the Duelist lore. I have said that Duelists primarily use rapiers and things associated, while he says they use many other weapons! We also wondered if the different styles implied different use of weapons. IE: The Shadow Dagger style is a style used by Duelists who use daggers. I said that it was just the name of a rapier style, while he said it implied that daggers were used. I was wondering if you could clear this up for us.

I'm not sure how it's actually going to *play* yet (that's what the beta's for), but I'd expect they'll end up pretty firmly set in the light blades catagory - daggers and such are fine, but anything more heavy than a cutlass or sabre is just too gauche. There are gobs of styles they study, but it's more how you use the weapon than the weapon itself. Duelists are our homage to Inigo Montoya and the Man in Black.
