Irekei: Personality

Original Post: OK. I keep on seeing people saying that the Irekei are like this character in this book i read. So I might as well put my opinion in. They are like the Fremen in the Dune books by Frank Herbert. Go ahead and post your opinions on this idea.

Answer: Yeah, you're right on the money. I said it a LONG time ago, but the Dune Fremen and just about all the Bedouin characters in Lawrence of Arabia served as my inspiration for the Irekei. (I still try to channel Anthony Quin as Auda Abu Dai whenever I try to think like a Clawed One or Blood Lord)

I'm told they have a lot of Aiel(sp?) in them too, and maybe they do, but I never read WoT, so I couldn't tell ya...
