Irekei: Blade Weaving

Irekei: Blade Weaving

Original: I know the Irekei are not as dextorous as the elves but they once were. The Khalinviri left because of the deathless empire and became the Irekei. But because they were elves they should know all ok the arts of the elves especially the fighting ones like blade weaving.

well you say it is because they have grown less dextorous, haha that is not an answer of why because its the arts and motion. If they knew it they should know it now but with the decrease in dex and increase in streght the form of how they do it should be different is all. They should beable to do it with more power then the elves but get hit more in the process.

Answer: We'll be releasing the Irekei Lore pretty soon, and it will address this issue along with many others.

But I can give you a bit of a sneak preview...

Kharan has it right. The Irekei are fierce warriors, and fond of blades, and they dance with wild abandon at their festivals and gatherings, but they do NOT practice bladewaeving. Why? Because when the Khalinviri took the first steps down the enlightened path that led to their eventual transformation, they deliberately renounced every last shred of Elvish culture - language, customs, you name it.

So, not only was there indeed a great shortage of bladeweavers after the Dragon rose, but they wouldn't have learned from one even if they had one. The Devil Men are a proud folk.

Some might say that the Irekei were foolish in this one case, throwing out the baby with the bathwater as it were, but I wouldn't say that to any Irekei's face...
