Irekei: Blood Prophets and Bards

Irekei: Blood Prophets and Bards

Hey there! Actually, Bards hold a pretty important place among the Irekei. The Blood Prophets are thought to be wise, and they do hear and interpret the Dragon's will, but it's not a Lore sort of a thing, it's very intuitive. Bards are the ones who keep the history oif the Irekei alive - great feuds and blood wars of the past, how each Virakt has fought, traded, or allied with every other, and that kind of thing. Bards do not lead, per se, but any lord who is wealthy enough to keep one in his service is esteemed a great man. Irekei love to party (when food and life permit) and Bards are pretty central to that whole process. As regards terms of address, I can imagine Irekei being very utilitarian - they would either use the honorific "Iri/Urikhan" (why not? you have described the status of their soul - what more need be said?) or there could be some sort of continuity - "low one," "high one," "great one," that kind of thing. Most of the actual linguisitc development going on witht he Irekei language right now is being undertaken by Gradishar, long-winded master of Shadowbania (shadowbania.com) - he might be able to give you more info. I hope this helps!
