The Minotaurs first escaped from slavery during the War of Flames with the Irekei, right around the time of the Human rebellion, when the Titans were freed from their magical prisons. Whether or not the binding spells were broken by the Titans, by some great curse of the Irekei, or by Morloch himself (then still called Malog) is unclear. Morloch has cvertainly been quick to take credit for it, and those Minotaurs who follow the Maimed God (not all do, mind you) praise him as the Breaker of Chains.

Some Minotaurs get along quite well with Orcs and Ogres, while I expect others fight them they way they fight everything else.

As far as the Elves making new servitors, that would be a fine explanation for adding new races into the mix down the road, probably too fine to avoid.

Mino's do breed - its not pretty, and we don't want to go into specifics. The way I'm envisioning it, Mino's are not immortal, and are born Minos. There might be a few who were actually transformed and remember life as something else, but they'd be rare in the extreme - the rituals have been mostly lost, at least to the mainstream wizards out there...
