Good heavens!

Lots of nifty notions here, and many of you are on the verge of some Big Secrets (tm). Of course, I won't say which (people or secrets).

Rephaim, you wound me! There IS indeed a system to the cosmology, I just happen to have made the lore deliberately vague. Much like the truths the Jedi cling to, point of view is everything.

As much as I hate to ponitficate, I can clear up a few things...

First off, many sages and scholars link the Dragon to Chaos. It, after all. knew the passwords that would open the Chaos gate, and it is seen as a force of cosmic level change. Desctructive, sure, but change nonetheless.

The linkages between the Dargaon and Oblivion/the Black do muddle things abit, and are very facinating. It's a tenuous association, much less of a "safe" bet than Chaos. But it's still possible (hence the "most sages" assertion).

As for Uvoriel, the archon of flame was indeed around before Malorn's great revelation. Ok, so fire isn't exactly an abstract concept... you got me. Let me say that Archons embody concepts, and not necessarily abstract ones. Some others may represent things, but in a conceptualized nominalist sort of way (think Plato's Forms).

It warms my heart to see that lore speculation is still going on! And also, remember, it may not EVER be my job to make a definitve answer to any of these questions. Much like real religion and philosophy, and the end of the day your factions must decide what they believe, and what they're prepared to do to those who disagree.

In a real world where thousands were slaughtered over transubstantiation, I figure these sorts of theological quibbles could translate into great PvP.

That was one of my goals, anyway...
