Ah... a history lesson!

Actually, Malorn began life as a Crusader in the Holy Church! His life changed forever early on, when a skirmish in the War of Tears saw his entire family killed by Elvish soldiers.

Later, when the Patriarch withdrew his support for Cambruin, Malorn broke ranks and joined the High King's army, where he served as one of the Champions.

Once he founded the Temple, he became a Confessor, a role he still fulfills today as Living Saint and Supreme Pontifex of the Temple of the Cleansing Flame.

So, over the course of his life Malorn the All-Father served both in a warrior's and a priest's role. He was (and still is!) indeed an extraordinary man...
